Loaches Are Fun Tropical Fish For Your Aquarium

Tropical fish seem to be the norm for Loach tanks. There are a huge selection at most pet stores. One of the favored tropical fish are the Loaches or Clown Loach. They can grow up to a foot in length, and are quite social schooling around the tank with their buddies. Loaches are suitable with up to six other loaches in the aquarium.

Loaches hang out on the bottom of the and they are non-aggresive fish. Loaches seem to have little or no scales on their bodies. So the water can harm it's body. Chemicals, hard water an other poorly maintained components of your aquarium water can severely impact the health of the Loaches. There are no scales so there is no protection from the toxic materials. Do not add water supplements unless the label indicates "scaleless fish"

Loaches do well in tanks that feature hiding places. Suitable decorations for the fish tank that benefit Loaches are plant roots, driftwood, and rockwork. Vallisneria and Java fern are also good pleasures for Loaches. Loaches should be placed with other tropical communities that are non-aggressive

It is recommended for them to be fed twice a day. Alter the feedings between pellets, lettuce, zucchini and fish flake food. Make sure you clean out the left over food when the feeding is over for the Algae eaters. Feedings can last up to 5 minutes.
Other Common Loaches include Golden Dojo, Clown, Skunk, Zebara and Kuhli. Fishkeeping is an exciting hobby for children and adults alike. What will you put in your new Tank?
